My home network setup

My home network setup in this picture.
It may look nerdy and geeky to most but to my real Mac geek friends this is the kind of envy that make them drool.
You do not have any backup unless you have backup in 3 places including one off site.
I have both Backblaze and jungle disk working

Sterling Vineyards

The entrance to Sterling wine vineyards is spectacular.
Here are two versions of the same images.
The first is a High Dynamic Range on a cloudy day

Second is a Black and white version of same.

January Sunsets

January Sunsets are rare but beautiful.
Today, on Football playoff day the skies were crisp and clear after the snowstorm last night. Snow was on deck chairs and tables, lake is frozen for the season. Here are 2 images at and just after sunset.

Then few minutes later

Blue Moon over the bay

Last night it was a blue moon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_moon)
over the bay, well almost Blue Moon, real one in tonight. But none the less the effect was spectacular. See for yourself. You can see lights of Berkeley across, on this crisp night.

Napa Pano at Gloria Ferrer

It was a gorgeous sky yesterday when we were trying 5 different Champagnes at Gloria Ferrer, a must visit , when you go to Carneros valley, (http://www.gloriaferrer.com/ ). Here from the terrace besides trying their Sonoma Dry Jack cheeses, Olive Taponade, excellent olive oils on breads made there, I took the Pano to memorialize the moment.
If you want to see this in full glory go to

Bokeh on a beautiful Model

Last summer july I wanted working on a photographic technic known as Bokeh,(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokeh)
Here somethings are in extreme sharp focus while things just behind are out of focus and this is best done by a Lensbaby (http://www.lensbaby.com/) tilt-shift lenses.
So I got my favorite beautiful model, our grand daughter Uma.

She had just finished her breakfast on a sunny morning and she grabbed her Grand mothers gold necklace and wanted to put that on. The Grand ma was too pleased to oblige.
The image was taken with Canon 1ds markIII and lensbaby composer.

Even if I say it my self, this image has a remarkable Bokeh effect what with strands of hair and even eye brow in ultimate sharpness while the back hair (3 inches back) is out of focus. Note the specks of breakfast near lips.
